Crash, burn, destruction at large,
Destitution and pain are the men in charge.
They issue discomfort and assign malnutrition, Starve the brain of the youth and then raise their tuition.
Throw them a bone and make them play fetch,
Force them to retrieve the status quo and throw their dreams in a ditch.
Switch the pace and sling the whip back and forth, File down their ambitions and diminish their self worth.
Throw coloreds in jail, throw blacks on the court, Deny their families the bail, ship mass bodies off of ports.
Inject bodies with submission, stain their souls forever,
Splitting families is the mission, so they’ll find it hard to work with each other.
Light skin, dark skin, licorice, bright.
We say we ain’t the same, but we know that’s not right.
We allow pigs to mock our pigmentation,
Then lose focus on progression, our development experience disintegration.
This illustration of scenes is a reminder of us all,
That if we let others control who we are, our life expectancy will fall.
It will droop, it will sag, fade behind the noise,
We’ll never gain respect from those white hooded boys.
Live life as you please, just remember one thing,
We were all created equal, but all don’t abide by the ways of the King.
